Abstract

Kulier Aka Bilan is a traditional local cuisine in Belu Regency. Aka bilan or grilled sago is made from a mixture of sago, grated coconut, sugar and salt, for toping it can use green beans according to the tastes of many culinary connoisseurs. it can last for one week as long as it is not inserted in the refrigerator, stored in a dry place that is not exposed to the sun. The research method used is qualitative. Data collection techniques in the form of observations, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Data processing techniques are reduction, data collection, and conclusion. The data analysis used is the SWOT analysis. The results of the study show that (1) there is no role for the government in promoting and introducing local cuisine, so the government is expected to be more concerned with providing training to the community and setting up local culinary activities in the monthly or annual activities of the Belu District Government. (2) most people do not understand the importance of the potential of local culinary development, are expected to take part in any activities or training provided by the government and then implement them. (3) strategies developed by cooperating with various parties, namely the private sector and the government to increase promotion through social media, adding some supporting facilities, improving quality and services, increasing human resources, maintaining culture and taste, adding local culinary outlets in each tourism in belu regency, especially the Atambua border city.
