Abstract

Yogyakarta is known for its culture which led it to be one of the favorite tourism destination in Indonesia. The culture itself born from Kraton Yogyakarta whose still taking place as the province government. Beside food, dances, and music, there are some special attires that created by Kraton. One of them is Ageman Jogja Pesiar. It is an acculturation of Javanese and western style attire. It was worn by the Princess and his husband to travel outside Kraton. Nowadays, the royal family doesn’t wear this attire anymore. Nevertheless, the ambassador of tourism of Yogyakarta called Dimas Diajeng wear the attire when they are on duty outside Yogyakarta. This action become a preservation of Ageman Jogja Pesiar which now also acknowledged by people.
