Abstract
tourism is an affair that must be managed by both the central government and local governments according to the principles of division of authority. Because tourism affairs are a shared responsibility between the central government and regional governments, regulation through legislation is needed to make it clear which areas should be managed and how the governance of regions has large tourism potential. Research methodology is a reasonable way to search again. Qualitative research methods are research methods used to examine natural object conditions (as opposed to experiments) where the researcher is a key instrument, the technique of data collection is triangulated (combined), data analysis is inductive, and the results of qualitative research emphasize meaning rather than generalization. From the results of data analysis there are answers to the problem formulation of 3 questions of community and government efforts as well as the obstacles faced in preserving the Begawe tradition, namely Maximizing the use of existing potentials to attract tourists to learn about Begawe traditions and promotions and not allowing foreign cultures to enter and forget area
