Abstract

As tourism grew in Indonesia, tourist destinations emerged, one of the setulang toursm villages. This wizard village is known because of its potential natural resources and cultural arts still cling to society. Following the growth of tourism, it has also affected community handicrafts where crafts are made only for personal needs now as a source of income. This research discusses how preserving arts in the community continues to exist and is sustainable for the next generation dan whatever products of community handicraft. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. And then processed with data analysis. The role of the village goverment and the participation of the local people is necessary in maintaining the craft of the village in order to maintain its balance and craft marketing is well underway. The village handicraft is a gift visitors can take home when they come to the village
