Abstract

Sumber Adventure Center is a tourist place used for vacation with family, especially children, this area is in the middle between Yogyakarta and Purwokerto. Sumber Adventure Center provides a variety of water rides and non water rides and has a fairly complete facilities. The formulation of the problem in this research i how the participation of society and government with the Sumber Adventure Center. In this study the authors use the method of observation, interviews, and questionnaires to determine the role of government and society in the development of Sumber Adventure Center. From the writer's method, it can be concluded that the government and the community are still less concerned about the existence of the Adventure Center Source, as evidenced by the indifferent attitude of the local community and the government who think that private-owned Adventure Center Sources are only looking for profit so there is no need to intervene from government.
