Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a lot cultural diversity. Cutural diversity is one of the wealth possessed by the state of Indonesia and is one of the characteristics that is used as an identity for every society that must be preserved. The research method used in this study is the qualitative method. While the data collection techniques used in this study are observation, interviews and literature studies. After the data obtained was collected, the data was analyzed by using the SWOT technique. Several attempts to preserve Traditional Music from the regency, namely, holding festivals or Traditional Rejung Music competitions, holding meetings of artists and making information about the importance of preserving Traditional Rejung Music as a cultural heritage. Efforts to increase the interest of the community, especially young people, to take part in learning Rejung Music, namely to conduct counseling on the importance of loving and learning Traditional Rejung Music as one of the cultures that exist in the city of PagarAlam.
