Abstract

Batik Tegalan is a Batik from Tegal, Central Java Province. Now, there are still many Tegal people who do not know about the existence of Batik Tegalan. Good and correct strategies need to be carried out by the Government, craftsmen and Batik Tegalan entrepreneurs to introducing Batik Tegalan to the wider community. The role of the community in preserving Batik Tegalan is very important because Batik Tegalan is a valuable asset for the people of Tegal. Batik Tegalan can become extinct if the Tegal people do not preserve Batik Tegalan. In addition to the Tegal community in general, the Government and Batik Tegalan craftsmen also must role more active in preserving and developing Batik Tegalan products in various effective ways for the preservation of Tegal Batik which is an asset of Tegal Regency
