Abstract

Tourism development is an effort to create the synergy in the use of tourism resources as well as to increase the role of government. Where tourism activities directly involve the community so that bringing various benefits to the surrounding community one of which helps the economy. Tourism must be given more attention so that development can run better. The author conducted research on koka beach attraction using qualitative methods. The author uses qualitative methods as observation or observation techniques, interview technique, observation, questionnaires and documentation as well as library study techniques, and search for materials and sources from print media. Koka beach is managed by the community (land owner) the government has not given special attention management of the koka beach is not good. The problem of the lack of human resources to make beach experiencing barries to compete with other tourist attractions are already developed the autor making same strategies to koka beach into a tourist destination who demand a lot of tourists. One strategy is to increase human resources by training local community creativity and tourism awareness counseling.
