Abstract

The Covid-19 outbreak has had a severe impact on the management and development of the tourism sector. The Covid-19 pandemic caused disruptions to the global supply chain, domestically, financial market volatility, shocks in consumer demand and negative impacts on key sectors such as travel and tourism. The impact of the Covid�19 outbreak will undoubtedly be felt throughout the tourism value chain. So the author examined the impact of Covid-19 on Gana Temple. The research was conducted at Gana Temple on 04 February – 28 February 2020. With primary data types and secondary data taken from 100 informants with incidental sampling techniques. Data collection method with Observation, Interview, and documentation. Data processing with the stage of data reduction, presentation of data, then withdrawal of conclusions or verification, and the last triangulation. Surely data analysis using SWOT analysis. The role of the government in the development of Gana Temple has been good, such as the government's cooperation with the Center for Conservation of Cultural Heritage so as to protect the temple and keep the temple from all unwanted things. The role of the community in the development of the temple is quite good as reported when there is the discovery of the remains of the temple to the parties concerned, being friendly to tourists, maintaining cleanliness in the environment around Gana Temple. The impact of Covid-19 is the decrease in the number of tourists, resulting in the decision to close Gana Temple due to the Covid-19 disaster. So the development of Gana Temple stopped temporarily. Even the end of this plan for the restoration of the temple was also delayed.
