Abstract

Puncak Kleco is a natural tourist attraction located in Duwet, Purwoharjo, Samigaluh, Kulon Progo Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This Kleco Peak tourist attraction can be an alternative tourism during the Covid-19 pandemic. The tourist attraction of Puncak Kleco has attractions in the form of the Menoreh Mountains landscape, the Tinalah River, Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu. Tourists can enjoy the panorama of sunrise and sunset. The purpose of this study was to analyze the development strategy of the Puncak Kleco Kulon Progo which was effective and efficient in accordance with the ecotourism aspect. The method that used is the qualitative method. The data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation. Meanwhile, the data processing method that uses are data reduction and data triangulation. The analyzed using SWOT analysis. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that the tourist attraction of Puncak Kleco has good potential to be developed and already has and already have sufficient facilities. The role of the community in terms of development and management is quite good, but must be increased in developing cultural attractions.
