Abstract

Istana Kuning is a historical building located in West Kotawaringin. besides that, in the yellow palace there are many collections related to the cultural history of the West Kotawaringin people. The Yellow Palace also has many historical stories and has survived well for hundreds of years until now. The Yellow Palace plays an important role for the surrounding community because with the yellow palace which is currently used as a tourist spot, this can provide opportunities for the surrounding community to create jobs. The purpose of this research is to find out how the preservation of the Yellow Palace as an overhauled building is now open as historical tourism where the public or tourists must adapt to this new era of habits during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method in writing scientific articles is to use qualitative methods. Sources of data used are the results of observations, interviews, and documentation. And data processing techniques are reduction, data presentation, verification, and triangulation.
