Abstract

This research was conducted at the Department of Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports Bengkalis Regency as well as in the new strait village. The purpose of this research is to know the development of new strait coastal attractions. Type of research in this thesis is a type of descriptive qualitative research where descriptive data of respondents' answers and in the analysis by the author. The population is the number of residents around the coastal attractions of the new straits, tourists and employees of Culture Tourism Youth and Sports Office Bengkalis 8.005 people. For the purposes of the study requires a sample of 75 people. From the results of field research and discussion through the spread of questioners, observations, and interviews of respondents, the outline can be concluded that the development of new strait coastal attractions are still in good category. It's just the lack of public transport to the beautiful beaches of the new straits so that tourists use private vehicles to the beautiful new strait coastal area.
