Abstract
Linting Lake is a tourist attraction in Deli Serdang Regency , North Sumatra. The purpose of this research is to know the development of tourism potential of Linting Lake. Also to know the role of government and society in the development of Linting Lake. The research methodology used is questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The type of research used is qualitative research. The analytical technique used in this research is SWOT analysis. Development in Linting Lake still needs improvement, both in terms of facilities, accesscibility, security, and the relationship between managers and the public against the government. There is already a regulation by Linting Lake for its development. Tourist who visit the Linting Lake come from all sorts of people. Also the role of the society already visible by participating in providing maximum service to visitors who come. They are kind, polite, and hospitable. Role of government in the development of Linting Lake has also helped in terms of physical and non-physical.
