Abstract

Kulonprogo become one of the favorite destinations in Yogyakarta for nature lovers. There are still many attractions that are still not managed and not yet recognized by the community. In addition to road access which still tends to be difficult to pass the vehicle, because the road terrain is climbing and steep, the road traversed uneven (broken), and when the night is still the lack of street lights, which causes obstruction of development of existing attractions in kulonprogo. This research uses descriptive research method with qualitative approach. Sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques with observation, questionnaires, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The formulation of existing problems in the Taman Bambu Air The role of government in the development of Taman Bambu Air has not been seen clearly. This can be seen from the facilities that are still minimal and inadequate accessibility. The role of surrounding communities is to participate in the provision of existing facilities. This is because the community has felt the benefits of tourism activities in the Taman Bambu Air. Strategy of development of Taman Bambu Air to attract tourists is Cooperation with the government will assist managers in the provision of facilities, improvements to accessibility and training tourism so that will be realized more professional human resources, community awareness, the private sector and cooperation with the government is expected to provide funding support for the development of Taman Bambu Air Creating new attractions to support the activities of the tour in the Taman Bambu Air, Promotion Strategy using the official website and in cooperation with tour and travel.
