Abstract

Gumelem Village is one of the tourist villages in Banjarnegara Regency. Village with various tourism potential has excellent products, namely batik tulis. Gumelem's batik has grown and developed since ancient times. In the preparation of this scientific article used qualitative research methods with SWOT analysis. Community efforts in preserving Gumelem’s batik looks from his direct participationsin the manufacture of Gumelem’s batik, also in various cultural events in Gumelem village. Efforts have also been made to preserve Gumelem’s batik is by business actors, who promoted Gumelem’s batik by online and offline. The superiority of Gumelem’s batik lies in the type of colouring, tha’s natural dyes and chemical dyes. In natural staining, using tree bark / sap, such as secang wood, mahogany, teak leaves, mango leaves, jolawe, rambutan rind, and many more.
