Abstract

This study aims to find out the activities of tourism in Gardu Pandang Delimas Windusari Magelang to be a tourism attraction in Magelang. The study on the role of the government to improve tourism is using qualitative methods. The research informants were selected based on several criteria, ie tourists in the city and outside the city. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The research process of this data analysis using SWOT analysis, starting from data collection, data reduction, until the process of conclusion. The result of the data analysis stated that the respondents agreed that the development of Padang Delimas tourist attraction as a leading tourist destination in Magelang regency by improving accessibility, adding facilities hotels and souvenir shop maximizing the role of society and government as well as promoting promotion.
