Abstract

Tourism is currently the industry with the most promising potential. Boyolali Regency has a very broad tourism potential including religious tourism. In tourism it is necessary to have management without good management these destinations cannot last long. The research was conducted to find out how the role of the community, government, and how the management system for cultural or religious tourists at the Cipto Mulyo Pengging Mosque. The basic problems that lead to this research work offer plausible solutions that will lead to an effective system of action and form the basis on which further research can be carried out. Three hypotheses were formulated to carry out the research work effectively. This research is descriptive and field survey. The sample taken is one hundred (100). The technique used is random sampling in data collection. Primary and secondary data used: collected data were analyzed and processed using SWOT analysis. Tools used for Miles and Huberman data analysis and simple percentage method. These findings cover the issue of managing the Cipto Mulyo Pengging mosque based on management and tourism components, tourism characteristics, the condition of the Cipto Mulyo Pengging mosque, and opportunities for religious tourism to become a tourist attraction worthy of visiting by tourists, the management system is already good and the lack of additional facilities also affects the potential and tourism components. This additional facility is very unfortunate because the existing facilities and infrastructure and amenities at the Cipto Mulyo Pengging mosque have not been able to support tourism activities. Repairs and improvements need to be made in the procurement of facilities and infrastructure as well as accompanying amenities that are located at the religious tourism object of the Cipto Mulyo Pengging mosque so that it is worthy of being visited by tourists.
