Abstract

Pontianak also has many tourism potentials, one of which is the Kapuas Square Park Taman Alun Kapuas. Taman Alun Kapuas is a tourist park located in downtown Pontianak. One of the strategies in development at Kapuas Square Park is the development of waterfront city which is the revitalization of the area to grow the economic activity so that in the future it can be realized become the income asset for the region. Factors that hamper the development include parking systems, security, maintenance of infrastructure and lighting are still lacking. Supporting factors such as strategic location, easy access, complete facilities and has good natural potential. The role of government in the form of policies implemented, development and development of planned or held, regulation, marketing and budget provision needed in development. While the role of society is still very minimal because the management is still in full grasp by the government.
