Abstract

This research discusses about the potential possessed by the tourist attraction of sirah kenccong's Tea Gardens in Wlingi Blitar, which is a plantation area owned by PTPN XII Kebun bantaran.Sirah kencong’s tea garden has interesting attractions such as the existence of 500 hectares of tea land, historical temple of sirah kencong, peak climbing path, photo’s spot and other interesting sights are supported by existing tourism facilities and the active and passive role that the community provide with the existence of sirah kencong’s tea garden as a tourist attraction. This research uses qualitative method with data collection technique that is observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation with data processing system using SWOT analysis, sample taking with interview and questionnaire taken from visitor, trader, village device, and Head of PTPN XII Afdeling Sirah Kencong. Strategy to be able to develop the potential of Sirah Kencong’s tea gardens is to improve road access by expanding the cooperation network such as with the related Office, and build a tour attraction of sirah kencong’s ttea gardens to become tourism attraction with prinnciple of education, nature so that it becomes a complete tourism package in one place
