Abstract

This research aims to determine the tourism potential Nagari Tuo Pariangan and efforts to develop tourism. This study uses qualitative methods with the descriptive approach, this study is taken from the local community Nagari Tuo Pariangan. Data collection by observation, interviews, documentation. The results showed that the village has tourism potential, natural attractions, cultural attractions and attraction specialist, natural tourism potential, consisting of hot springs, waterfalls, forests, and Najun flora, potential cultural attractions and tourist areas around the village traditional and unique including, aqikah, circumcision, circumcision/batagak contending traditions, marriage Traditions and way of life, the village has a social life often marked by high behavioural society of mutual cooperation. Nagari Pariangan is potentially to be developed as a tourist village, supported by efforts to develop infrastructure improvements and promotions.
