Abstract

Indonesia’s cultural richness can be a special attraction for tourist. Of course the culture is also an important aspect in the development of tourism and must be preserved, one of the important cultures developed especially in Yohyakarta is Gamelan Techniques research approaches using qualitative research methods that are descriptive. Subjects of the research are Gamelan artist, tourists and government. Data collection using questionnaires, interviuws and observatioan. Furher data is reduced, dara appearance and data with triangulation method. Resrch that has been done and the results obtained can be used as an effort to preserve and develop Gamelan arts and develop gamelan arts and required a form of management, and appropriate promotion for the solution.
