Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the role of society and government in the preservation of custom clothes Mantenan Ponoragan, and how to introduce custom clothes Mantenan Ponoragan to tourists who come to the district Ponorogo. therefore, I submitted custom clothes, Mantenan Ponoragan as one of the icons in the district Ponorogo. This research method using cualitative descriptive analysis and SWOT analysis, which means writing the result of analysis in facts and do the research, interviews, and documented it. To preserve the custom clothes Mantenan Ponoragan, need to improve human resources, and also the promotion for custom clothes Mantenan Ponoragan better known by the tourists. The community participate in promoting custom clothing and government support in terms of money. Introducing this custom clothing through events or culture events that exist in Ponorogo.
