Abstract

Tourism is an ever-growing and sustainable industry. Tubing Mendak Lereng Wilis is a natural tourist attraction in Ponorogo regency. The nature-based tourism attraction needs to be developed with the right strategy to be sustainable. The research approach uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects of the research are Tubing Mendak Lereng Wilis tousist attraction, Ponorogo people, tourists and the government. Data collection with questionnaires, interviews and observation. Further data is reduced, data appearance and conclusion. The results show that the concept of eco-tourism development is suitable to be applied in Tubing Mendak Lereng Wilis. Tourism development in Tubing Mendak LerengWilis must involve local communities and consitons to preserve nature.
