Abstract

This research aims to know and examine the development of Pendet Dance in Bali Island, The formulation of the proposed problem is how is the role of community in the preservation Pendet Dance in Bali, How to development Pendet Dance in Bali Island, and what constraints faced in the Development of Pendet Dance. The Research method ushed is descriptive qualitative method and data collection using interview, observation, documentation, and data analysis using SWOT. The research results show that Pendet ance in Bali Island is a Cultural Heritage that has been developed and become a tourist attraction supporte by local community, government and activists. The role of government in terms of funding the right effort for development of Pendet Dance.
