Abstract

Yogyakarta City is one of the Tourism Destination in Indonesia. In Yogyakarta City has many existing tourism potential from Cultural Tourism, Religious Tourism, Culinary Tourism, Artificial Tourism and Nature Tourism. Cultural tourism is the most popular tourism in Yogyakarta. One of all is Beksan Srikandi Suradewati Dance. Beksan Srikandi Suradewati Dance is the traditional dance from Yogyakarta that has many philosophy. The purpose of this research is how the government and community strategies about conservation of Beksan Srikandi Suradewati Dance for the future with qualitative method. Beksan Srikandi Suradewati Dance is a traditional dance that has a good philosophy from Yogyakarta that qualified to be one of cultural tourism. It means that this traditional dance must be preserve.
