Abstract

Tosa is one of Urban Village in East Tidore Subdistrict, Tidore Island Town which has unique as coastal village which still has natural tourist attraction with rural atmosphere and culture of its people, one of them is Akesahu Beach. Akesahu Beach has been used as a recreation area in recent years and has a good potential as a tourist attraction. It is interesting to examine related efforts of the government and surrounding communities in the development of Akesahu Beach attractions, so it is clear the problem and its utilization. This research uses descriptive method with qualitative approach and SWOT analysis in analyzing data. Akesahu Beach in the development process goes well, still translates slowly. In this case the procurement of facilities to support the attractions are still many that have not been built, such as lodging, restaurants, security posts, health posts, ferry ports, and parking areas are still very narrow. Nevertheless, the existing facilities now meet some of the needs of tourists and treated well so as to support tourism activities in Akesahu Beach. In addition, managers continuously improve and maximize the development of Akesahu Beach attractions by making Akesahu Beach as a priority tourism object today.
