Abstract

This research aims to know the role of society and government in its participation to preserve Baritan Traditional Ceremony in Pacitan as cultural tourism. This research is a descriptive qualitative research using observation data collection method, interview, questionnaire, documentation, and literature study and analysis in the form of SWOT analysis The results of data analysis in question with respondents stated that the community agrees with the government to work and restart the Baritan Traditional Ceremony, by improving the facilities of the government and the community to promote the Baritan Traditional Ceremony through social media.
