Abstract

This research is to analyze the obstacles, efforts, and to know the role of society in preserving woven cloth typical of Baduy tribe as cultural heritage in Lebak Banten. Woven fabric baduy is one of the cultural heritage in the tribe Baduy who have a strong uniqueness and philosophy, This research method using descriptive qualitative method where the research method that only explains or describes research variables without looking for other variable interwoven. Data analysis performed include reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and carrying out verification. From the result of the research, it is known that the society has participated in preserving the fabric of Baduy weaving. The obstacles faced are various technical constraints, funding / capital and human resource constraints
