Abstract

Purawisata's Ramayana Ballet is a performance that combines dance and drama which tells a story without using dialogue. This performance involves local dancers and musicians. Pengrawit depicts people playing gamelan during a performance of the Ramayana Ballet. The Ramayana Ballet can also be called the Ramayana Ballet. The research aims to find development and promotion strategies that can be carried out to maintain the existence of the Purawisata Ramayana Ballet. In this research, the author used qualitative research methods with observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques and used SWOT analysis. The research results show that the Ramayana Ballet already has quite complete social media. So the strategy that can be implemented is to maintain active social media, preserve the Ramayana Ballet, improve the quality of performances, develop tour packages, collaborate, and pay attention to the suitability of the facilities provided by tourist areas.
