Abstract

Legong is a Balinese originaldance. This dance has 13 type of it’s selfwith different background storieimproved by dance artist. The 13 type othis dance are Legong Lasem (Keraton), Legong Jobog, Legong Lebod BawaLegong Kuntul, Legong Playon, LegongCandrakanta, Legong Kupu Tarum,Legong Kuntir, Legong Semarandana,Legong Untung Surapati, LegongMintaraga, Legong Sri Sendana andLegong Jaya Pangus. This research using Quanlitativemettod. Data’s and Informations arecollected from the Dancer them self,using Observation, Interview,Questionare and Documentation for datagathering teqnique. The Result of the Research aresaid that Legong Dance are prettyfamous for Balinese people but not foTourist from outside Bali not like KecakDance, Barong Dance and Pendet Dance. Because lack of promotion and education about this Dance. With IntensePromotion, The popularity of this Dancecould be better than before.
