Abstract

This scientific article contains about Malay culture, namely the dance of Sekapur Sirih, the contribution of government, society and artists to preserve the dance of Sekapur Sirih in Bintan Kepulauan Riau. government contributions are already visible, but not yet maximized, and the contribution of the community is still passive, the contribution of the artists is good, but they still need training so that they can have good understanding and skill to preserve traditional dance. Promotion of Sekapur Sirih dance in SNU's studio is still not good, it is necessary to make a promotion strategy for the dance of Sekapur Sirih so that the Secret of Betel is known by many people and can be a cultural tourism attraction in Bintan. The research was conducted in Sang Nila Utama studio, Bintan, Riau Islands, conducted in December-January 2018, and the method used for this research was qualitative, and the analysis used was SWOT analysis.
