Abstract

Lawang Temple is located in Gedangan Village, Cepogo, Boyolali. Lawang temple is one of the historic heritage of Mataram Hindu royal heritage. This study aims to find out how the efforts of government and society in preserving Lawang Temple and the constraints faced in an effort to preserve this historical site. The method used in this research is qualitative method, observation, interview, questionnaire, and documentation. And SWOT analysis used For data analysis, conducted by examining internal and external factors. The government always involves the society in the meeting regarding the preservation of the Lawang Temple. And the society participates by participating in preserving, an caring for it. Funding, organization, and promotion become obstacles in the preservation of Lawang Temple.
