Abstract

Mawi beach is one of the beaches in Central Lombok located in Selong Belanak Village, West Praya District, Central Lombok District. Mawi beach has the potential of tourism that can be developed, the strategy taken in the development of mawi beach as a tourist attraction so it can be interesting to b visited by tourist. Descriptive qualitative research is a research method that only describes or describes th research variables without looking for links to other variables. The result of research writer, obtained that the role of government in the development of mawi beach is still not seen clearly, but some people participate in developing mawi beach. Needed strategy in its development such as counseling, cooperation with government, and more optimal promotion.
