Abstract
Banten has a variety of typical foods,one of which is rabeg. Rabeg is alegendary food that has a history. Rabegalso became the favorite food of the firstSultan Banten. Qualitative research method is aresearch method based on postpositivephilosophy, used to examine the conditionson natural objects (as apposed toexperiments) where researchers are as keyinstrument, file collection techniques aredone in triangulation, file analysis isinductive/qualitative, and the results ofqualitative research more emphasize themeaning of the generalization. The existence of rabeg now is still inBanten Province, but rabeg is not favoredby young people. Rabeg also needinnovation in processed. Because rabegtoday can not be used as souvenirs typicaof Banten Province. That is what makesrabeg rarely know by people outside theprovince.
