Abstract

This beach is located in the City of Tarakan and Amal is the name of one of the villages in East Tarakan District, North Kalimantan Province is famous as one of the largest oil source in Indonesia. . This study aims to find out the strategy of development of Charity Beach tourism object and the role of government and society in developing the beach tourism object of charity. This research method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection by observation, interview, documentation and triangulation and analyze it with SWOT analysis. The results of this study, Managers can not do much in terms of helping develop the beach charity, due to the absence of regulation on the beach charity, but the enthusiasm of the community is very high to visit this charity beach. The facilities at the charity beach are also still to be developed. The government has not participated in promotions at the beach charity, while the community acts as a trader around the beach charity
