Abstract

Lampung has many cultures, traditions and customs that are not well known to the younger generation. Cultures and traditions that are believed to be hereditary and are the identity of the nation, must be preserved and preserved by the successors of the nation. Lampian Lampian ethnic community implements symbolic meanings or giving titles in traditional ceremonial ceremonies of ethnic Lampung culture that they do by realizing it in their daily life and make meaning that they understand as a foundation to act in building a family. Recognized by Lampung ethnic community who do adat marriage ngok adok that the meaning of giving a degree in the ceremony of marriage affects the life of married. There are changes in attitudes and habits after wearing a symbol or title in a traditional wedding ceremony ngini adok. By carrying out the customary marriage culture ngini adok and understand its meaning can mentranfusikan cultural value of the old generation to the new generation as a form of cultural preservation
