Abstract

Wayang Klithik is a typical wayang of Wonosoco Village, Undaan, Kudus Regency, Central Java. The Wayang Klithik Show is held once a year at the Resik Sendang event to honor the spirits of the ancestors of the spring guard there. This puppet has become a breath for residents in Wonosoco Village so that the local community already has the desire to keep it from falling apart with the modern culture that is increasingly developing in this era. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data and Information are obtained directly from the manager and Puppet of Wayang Klithik. With data collection techniques carried out in the form of, Observation, Interview, Questionnaire and Documentation From the results of the research it was found that conservation efforts for Wayang Klithik from the community and the government already existed but were not optimal. Promotions carried out are also still not able to attract tourists. Wayang Klithik still exists today because local people believe in the myths that have been handed down from their ancestors. Wayang Kithik is still losing popularity with Wayang Kulit which is well known throughout the archipelago.
