Abstract

Gunung Leuser National Park is located in two provinces, namely North Sumatra and Banda Aceh. Gunung Leuser National Park is the largest national park in southeast asia and is surrounded by 10 districts / cities. The formulation of the problem How the role of the Community, the government in the Development of Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL), How the manager in maintaining the natural environment around Gunung Leuser National Park (TNGL). The method used in this research is qualitative research method. Data and information taken directly from the area of Gunung Lauser National Park. Data collection techniques are observations, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The role of the community in the development of Gunung Lauser National Park is good enough because it involves the surrounding community in its development, the role of government in the development of Gunung Lauser National Park by improving access and assisting in promotion, but the existing facilities in Gunung Lauser National Park is still minimal and incomplete reducing the convenience of visiting tourists. The management of Gunung Lauser National Park has been following the trend but still maintain the authenticity and sustainability of the ecosystem in the mountain lauser national park. But the manager has not been maximal in its management.
