Abstract

Traditional house is a house built in the same way from generation to generation, and with no or little change. Traditional home can also be regarded as houses are built with attention to usability, as well as social functions and cultural meaning behind the color or style of the building. Research with a qualitative approach empasizes its analysis on deductive processes and on the analysis of dynamics of observed interconnected relationship,using scientific logic. The result of data analysis that writer make is effort of government and society in in preserving and promoting existence of custom house sembalun can be said that government have active role. proved because the government also built a reflection of the original customary house in the pavement and at the same time held art performances and at the same time held event nyayu ngayu (preservation of springs) throughout Indonesia every 3 years held by the community at the same time supported by the Department of tourism and culture
