Abstract

Klenteng Siu Hok Bio is the oldest Klenteng in Semarang, Central Java that has the potential of historical and cultural values that must be sustained. Conservation efforts can be carried out with the collaboration of managers and the community as well as the participation of the government. Although it is strong in terms of funding for maintenance as a preservation effort and routinely holds annual festivals, the Manager who manages Klenteng Siu Hok Bio has not been able to invite young people and surrounding communities to participate in Klenteng activities as the next generation who will continue to preserve Chinese Cultural heritage in Klenteng Siu Hok Bio. In addition, the management of the temple is still managed independently without interference and assistance from the government.
