Abstract

Tourism is a new economic sector that is developing in Indonesia. The tourism sector is the No. 4 development priority sector. In the era of government, Joko Widodo tourism is referred to as "Core Economy Indonesia". In the tourism industry it is further divided into several groups, one of which is heritage tourism or what is known as cultural heritage. Cultural heritage itself can be in the form of objects or buildings that are closely related to culture and history. One of the cultural heritage buildings in Malang Regency is Kidal temple, Kidal Temple is located in Rejokidal Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The temple building is made entirely of andesite and has vertical geometric dimensions. Around the courtyard of the temple there are stone structures that function as fences. The temple's body stands on a batur (temple's foot) about 2 m high In the development of the tourism sector in Kidal Temple has not been well managed. There needs to be government intervention, support and awareness of the surrounding community for the development of tourism in the Kidal Temple.
