Abstract

The natural beauty that is similar to the green canyon is also in Klaten, precisely in Socokangsi Village, Jatinom District. The Green Sanyangsi mini canyon is formed in the Gethuk River which has clear water and no trash. The riverbed in the form of rocks seems to be a natural filter. To enjoy the charm, visitors do not need to use a boat. Just walk along the river. The objectives of this scientific article research are as follows: First is to find out the obstacles that can hinder the development of Socokangsi Green Canyon mini tourism object. Second For Building a mature development strategy as a reference in the development of Socokangsi's Green Canyon mini tourism object Preservation and development of the Socokangsi Waterfall Tourism Object as a natural tourist destination in Klaten Regency as follows, namely maintaining the uniqueness of the still beautiful nature that is in the Socokangsi mini green canyon. The government wants to always play a role and help in the process of developing this tourist attraction because the role of the government is needed by the surrounding community. Then create a clear and well-structured organization for tourism development, management and operational activities. Empowering the surrounding community by utilizing the potential for sustainability and development of the Socokangsi waterfall as a superior natural tourist destination, one of which is needed to provide a community-managed information center for tourists.
