Abstract

Boyolali has a tourist destination and that is R. Hamong Wardoyo Museum, R. Hamong Wardoyo Museum is the only one museum in that town. R. Hamong Wardoyo Museum was built with a futuristic concept and a pyramid-shaped building. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research method that is analyzing and presenting facts systematically so that they can be more easily understood and concluded. Methods of collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The management of the museum is good, but it will be more maximal if there are some additional competent human resources. Strategies to increase the number of visitors can be done by maximizing promotions, holding special events for museum, and collaborating with the government agencies to promote the tourism, especially museums, as a means of education and recreation. The obstacles faced include increasing new tourist destination, lack of competent human resources, lack of cooperation between organizations. These obstacles can be minimized by the above strategy. The government has played a role in managing the museum with the APBD funds and good access from government.
