Abstract

The problems discussed in this study are ways to increase the number of tourist visits and how to develop this mangrove forest tourism and the role of the government and the community in managing mangrove forest tourism in the Paloh The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. While the data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and literature study. After the data obtained is collected then data analysis is performed using SWOT techniques. The results of the study show that: Mangrove Forest tourism is the only tourism in Paloh, this tour was built with the aim of developing the potential of natural resources that exist both sea, river, land, flora and fauna, forests, mangroves, biodiversity and ecosystems for the welfare of society in a sustainable manner through tourism and introducing, utilizing, preserving, improving the quality of these tourist objects and attractions. Development efforts, how the role of the community and how to market them in the mangrove forest tourism are carried out if there is a good cooperative relationship between the local government, managers and the community. But in its development in terms of Human Resources, facilities, facilities, and still an obstacle and also the task of many parties. Its marketing is still fully supported by the government service of culture and tourism. For this reason, it can be concluded that the development of mangrove forest tourism can have a positive impact such as in the regional economic aspects and the surrounding community and the preservation of its flora and fauna in the mangrove forest tourism in Paloh. With the potential that exists, it can improve the quality of the number of human resources, complete supporting facilities for tourism, and some efforts will have an impact on increasing tourist visits from home and abroad,
