Abstract

This research is using qualitative methods and the SWOT method which was used to find strategies for opportunities to develop Jangkang Hill tourism site as Sustainable Tourism Destinations in Kulonprogo. By conducting interviews and direct observation at the research location. Jangkang Hill tourism site is a nature tourism attraction that sells interesting photo spots for tourists. Nature tourism with a background of natural scenery of Sermo Reservoir and Menoreh Mountains is very beautiful. Tourists visiting the majority of young people. Bukit Jangkang tourism site does not yet have a regulation or tourism permit. For future plans, the Bukit Jangkang tourism manager will make regulations starting from the village namely the Village Regulation (PerDes). Assistance from the existing Kulon Progo Regency government is a trash can from the Kulonprogo Regency Environmental Office. The development strategy that can be done is cooperation with the Tourism Office to get training for Jangkang Hill tourism managers so that they can provide the best service for tourists. Add food stalls, souvenir center facilities, which are managed by the surrounding community. Adding tourist attractions to make camping ground also play ground, unpaid photo spots. The latter increases promotion by participating in events and collaborating with tour and travel services to increase the number of tourist visits.
