Abstract

culture also characterizes a society. of the depiction of a loving group of people together and a high sense of caring for others, creating a life that supports each other among people between religious communities without any strong differentiation and resolution. The research method used is qualitative method. Data completion technique is done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data processing techniques are Reduction, Display, conclusion and verification. And data analysis SWOT used. In the Ponorogo community, sambatan in the era of modernization was used as an innovation in tourism development, awareness of tourism in the region had a very significant influence, so that communities engaged in culture and tourism development by utilizing the local wisdom of the Ponorogo community is sambatan
