Abstract

Teluk Selahang beach is one of the favorite destination in Natuna, Riau Island Province. Located 16 km from Ranai city. Teluk Selahang beach has big potential to be used as marine tourism watersport and adventure. marine tourism attractions can attract more tourist visits and improve the economy of the local communities. To develop tourism objects, managers and the government need to approach by establishing cooperation to develop tourism objects and maintain good relations with the local community by inviting people to participate as tourism actors. Additionally, facilities need to be improved better. Teluk Selahang Beach is included in 11 priority tourism objects and attractions that will be developed by the government until 2020. The government will also contribute some of equipment to support marine activities in Teluk Selahang Beach The role of the community in encouraging the progress of the development of Teluk Selahang Beach tourism object is the establishment of a tourism conscious group and providing Natuna traditional foods.
