Abstract

Tourism is a trip carried out for recreation or leisure and also preparations made for this activity. Likewise with the Mount Galunggung area which is one of the places for recreation or vacation. Mount Galunggung is a volcano with an attitude of 2,167 meters above sea level, located about 17 km from the city centre of Tasikmalaya. Exactly in the village of Linggajati, Tasikmalaya Regency. Mount Galunggung has various potensials, such as Galunggung crater, hot springs, and Curug Agung. This scientific article was written with a qualitative method as a research procedure that presents data in descriptive form by conducting interview, observation, documentation, and triangulation. Research on Mount Galunggung aims to find suitable development strategies to be used so that it can increase tourist visits in Tasikmalaya, West Java
