Abstract

The Gusong Bugis is a territory in a protected forest, which was been mistaken by the people around that place. It was once a place of an illegal mines, but now there is an organization that called HKM they could changed people’s mindset, they used to think about the benefit without thinking what’s caused of their action. They caused a bad ecosystem for the environment around that place. From that point, they invented the Gusong Bugis as one of the tourism object in Belitung. This research is speaking about the development of Gusong Bugis beach as one of the tourism object on Belitung province, the method of this research is using a qualitative method, which is there are core problems, there are Stage Development, Government and society roles on the stage development, and it use a SWOT technique from the research’s data. From the research result and the data analysis we got a conclusion that is so important to have a development process in the Gusong Bugis region, because it could get a good cause to complete the lacking and to have a cause to make the tourists enjoyed the Gusong Bugis as the tourism object.
