Abstract

This scientific article contains about Batak culture, namely the dance of Patung Sigale-gale, the contribution of government, society and artists to preserve the dance of Patung Sgale-gale in Samosir Island, Sumatera Utara. Tourism is an important thing for the country. With this tourism then a country especialy where the tourist attractionis, will get income and income from every tourist attraction. The writing of this report is presented qualitatively to obtain an overview of information realiting to potential and sustainable the dance of Patung Sigal�gale, and the analysis used was SWOT analysis. Human resources are a major component of tourism conservation, without the presence of human attractions will not likely be managed properly and will not be possible to generate income.
